Co-Wash Day/ Twist-Out Success
So if you know me I wear my hair mostly in braid outs and buns. I couldn't do a flat twist to save my life lol. Something inspired me to attempt a twist out and it came out great. Here's what I did.

- Co-Washed my hair with tresseme naturals conditioner
- Wrapped hair in turbie twist for 30 mins
- Air dried my hair to 50%
- Applied my Paul Mitchell The Conditioner Leave-In and my Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz Serum
- Split hair into 6 sections and applied Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Eco Styler Gel
- Flat twist each section then braided the ends to make two pig tails.

Product Review: Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask
Prices: $4.00 for 1 oz, $16.00 for 3.3 oz, $36.00 for 8.5 oz
Purchased at: CVS Pharmacy (2 of the 1 oz)
Promises: A combination of macadamia oil and argan oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts rejuvenate and rebuild the hair.
Directions: Liberally comb through clean, wet hair and allow up to 7 minutes of penetration before rinsing. No heat necessary. Deep Repair Masque is an intense treatment. Use no more than twice a week.
Ingredients: Aqua/Water/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Cetyl Palmitate, Behentrimonium Chloride, Parfum/Fragrance, Amodimethicone, Trideceth-12, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Sodium PCA, Dimethicone, Centrimonium Chloride, Triethanolamine, Citric Acid, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Benzoic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Sorbic Acid,Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal. Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Limonene, Yellow 6 (Cl15985), Yellow 5 (Cl19140), Cl14720)
My Assessment: I purchased two packets of the 1 oz because I had a feeling one wouldn't be enough. I was correct lol. I used both packets on my head. Even though it says leave it on for 7 minutes I left it on for an hour while I took a nap. Before rinsing I used my Goody TangleFix to detangle. It just glided through my hair. When I rinsed it out it left my hair sooooo soft. I felt like I didn't even need to apply my leave ins.
Overall I think i'm in love lol. I love the way my hair felt and its still soft today as i'm writing this review. The smell is fantastic as well. My problem is the price. It's not a product I would purchase regularly because I am a broke college student but I believe I will pick up the full size as a little Birthday gift for myself . I definitely recommend you try this product out.

Review: Goody TangleFix
Price: $7.98 from Walmart
Purchased From: Walmart but can also be found at target.
Promises: Get through tough tangles anytime, anywhere. Detangle with ease, and minimize breakage. Great for natural hair. For straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair. Great for distributing conditioner.
Features: 3 bristle lengths for deep detangling. Lightweight for less fatigue. Easy grip sides for better control. Dual size design for small or medium hands.
The Process: So of course i'm not going to detangle my hair while its dry lol. I cowashed my hair and deep conditioned my hair and kept it in four sections. I let my hair air dry for 20 minutes then applied my Paul Mitchell Leave-in and split each of the four sections into 3 more sections and detangled from the ends to my roots. Then I braided each section.
Final Thoughts: I absolutely love this thing. I was experiencing a bit of matting and tangling which is why I decided to get it. It was so gentle on my hair and got every single tangled shed hair and knot out of my hair. I would definitely recommend this product though I wouldn't recommend using it on dry hair lol. As you can see in this picture I have a lot of texture going on in my head. This is after I detangled and braided my hair. |

This is the amount of hair lost while detangling. Keep in mind I haven't detangled in 3 days so this is 3 days worth of shed hairs. |
